Pre-delivery Issues

Now you have ordered your A Bet A software - what else do you need to consider?

Counter:

Counter Top You will require:

  • 4 power sockets per terminal.
  • A hole on your counter to allow cables to drop down to PC and power points.
  • Your computers must be networked so you will need a network switch/hub. HARDWARE
  • You will also require patch cables (one per computer) in order to connect your computers to your network. CABLES

    Power Protection:

    Installation of a UPS (Uninterrupted power supply) will protect you against data loss or corruption in the event of any power outages or power surges.

    Data Protection/Backups:

    Use of a USB pen drive will facilitate your "off-site" data backups.

    Broadband:

    Broadband is required in order that A Bet A/Betsol staff may provide remote technical support.

    Should you decide to take early prices automatically into your system, then broadband will be necessary for this also.

    Remember too, as your system uses standard PCs, you can also use the PCs to browse the internet for prices, results, etc.

    Web/email:

    BetSol can organise your web domain name, website, and email for you.

    Setup a website with information about your business and location, including contact details for telephone betting etc.

    Advertise an email address and send and receive emails with your own personalised address.
